How does oil light work?

One thing we all suffer from in our Landys are electrical problems. Got a problem or an answer - Post it here.

If your oil warning light is flickering or coming on completely as you drive along, or does not go out completely and you are satisfied that the oil pressure switch is OK, it might be worth checking the wiring from the oil pressure switch to the gauge.

The insulation might have worn through and is shorting to ground. Mine is doing this.
Rather lazily, I just 'wiggle' the loom to stop it happening. I really need to replace the wire

Whoops! Don't know why I wrote gauge, obviously I meant bulb.
But what I said still stands.

Just trying to help .......
