Kumbu-Kumbu Safari

Postby Nick1604 » Thu 09 Feb 2017 5:06 pm

We are Nick and Annie Legg. We live by the sea in Torquay, South Devon. Our home is called Mango House and is decorated with arts and crafts from Africa. From 1972 to 2006 we were associated with this magnificent continent and its people. Now we are travelling back - from Cape Town to Dar es Salaam in a 2003 Land Rover Discovery 2 TD5 auto, towing a Camptech off-road camping trailer.

Both vehicles were bought and prepared for us in Johannesburg by local Landy guru, Peter Street, of Landyworx.

In case you are wondering.........'kumbu' is Swahili for 'memory' and......you've guessed it, 'kumbu-kumbu' is the plural form, 'memories'.

We worked in various parts of Africa over the years and this journey is enabling us to revisit some favorite places and visit some others we didn't get to first time round.

You are welcome to join us on our journey!

The address of our website is www.kumbu-safari.com

There you will find photos, video and our journal.
