Lock cylinder removal

Postby jekyldad » Mon 12 Nov 2007 7:33 pm

Hi
Maybe someone could help me. I'm trying to remove the lock cylinder from the front door latch assembly. Can somebody offer a little guidance.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Assuming its not an anti burst, there will either be a screw/washer in the opposite end to the key hole or a small spring dowel thro the swinging catch/barrell, this holds the swinging catch on, screw out or punch pin out, pull the catch off and the barrell pulls out.

Well, just done mine, on the inside of the door, the barrel is attached via a screw, unscrew, remove the latch thingy that stops the door handle moving and then just push out the barrel. Easy peasy 2 minute job.
