Hi any ideas please; I have a radiator on a V8 that boils after 3 minutes on left side only, the side the water enters at bottom pipe and 2 pipes at top from manifold, not the the rad filaments as they remain stone cold for 3 minutes or so.
Rad is the type with a large brass columns either end, drivers side gets so hot you can’t touch itm not sure if the rad is original as it sticks up above the front bodywork an inch or so, but the cowl fitted is a perfect fit to the fan so don't know, vehicle is early Range Rover?

Could rad be blocked or is it normal?

I'm going to flush the rad today as upon inspection the interior looks like the insides of an old kettle, full of calcium salts stuck to interior, I think previous owner may have treated with radweld rad as leaked.
Is there a descaling product that works or does rad require re-core. Grateful of any advice

From what I can understand from your description it sounds a bit blocked....

Safest repair would be a recore tbh
