Discover/military ambulance question

Postby Mikey1970 » Mon 12 Jun 2017 11:11 pm

Hello all,

It's been a while since I posted anything but I've got the oval itch again. Since the demise of my disco, we've have a freelander 2 which has tbh been very good with only minor niggles.

I've been toying with the idea of a project vehicle and I've come up with a list of possible, unlikely and downright stupid ideas - the latter is what I'd like to discuss.

The 130 defender military landrover ambulance is something I'd like as I like camping but hate tents - more to the point, putting them up and down and having a bobbins night sleep.

One of the down sides to the 130 defender military landrover ambulance, is the price.... after a quick look, most seem to be £15k or more - herein lies the downright stupid idea.

So my idea is to ask A if anyone has seen a disco converted into anything other than a bobtail or trayback? and B what are peoples thoughts on the feasibility of welding a box onto the back of one.

Vague I know but then vague is my middle name.

Ta,

Mike
