It just sounds like they've sent the later thin drive flanges (as Ralph says, as fitted to 300Tdi/Td5/Puma, and some late 200Tdi's that had disc brakes on the rear axle)

Micrcat is what you need though, again, as per Ralphs link. input your VIN and it'll (pretty much) let you know what parts will and won't fit.

that sounds about right, as the rear is drum braked
